Good morning all this one is on point for me it really spoke to me and I hope it does the same for you.
Luke 4:1-4 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
A few points I want to bring out about this wonderful example we have of Jesus, first of all He was driven into the wilderness to be tempted the devil but tested of His Father, first direction most of our tribulation comes from above not from beneath. Our heavenly Father puts us through test not because He doesn't know what is in us but because he does know and we Need to find out what we are capable of. Direction two Jesus went into the wilderness full of the Holy Ghost empowered strengthened and ready for the test. Before He went into the wilderness he had been spending alone time with the Father to know His voice and direction without a doubt. Direction three Jesus had the word hidden in his heart before the test so the Holy Ghost could bring it back to his remembrance. Take note he did not wait until the test came to study he did his studying prior to the test and was well prepared for it. Direction four, Jesus never responded in his own words he always said it is written he stood on the word that was Him and it never failed.
Jesus knew who he was and he knew his purpose, if you know your purpose don't forget it, if you are still trying to find out what your purpose is let me encourage you that it is to please the Father first and to be in fellowship with Him through his Son Jesus Christ, everything beyond that is extra.
Be blessed
